Cameron Morgan joined the Durham Community Food Pantry (DCFP) team in April 2020 having previously worked at “The Scrap Exchange,” next door. However, Cameron had actually already worked with the DCFP since its inception in 2019. As the Covid-19 pandemic began to grow, the DCFP found itself in a precarious situation. It needed to continue growing and serving the community and navigate the serious danger posed by the rapidly worsening virus.

Since reopening to the public, Morgan has worked tirelessly to operate, manage, and coordinate food distribution efforts as well as assist in the coordination and supervision of hundreds of volunteers who have passed through the DCFP’s doors; all while ensuring the safety of all.

To say that no two days have been the same since he came onboard would be an understatement. Morgan has been an integral part of the DCFP team and their efforts to distribute over 1.3 million pounds of food to over 50,000 people in the 2020-2021 fiscal year alone!

Join the DCFP team in congratulating Cameron on all of his work, effort, and dedication to the Durham Community Food Pantry.
