Agnes Barber is the Program Director for Catholic Charities/New Bern and the Coordinator of the Senior Pharmacy Program.  She holds a MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and has been with the agency since February 2017.  She spent her early career in the field of addictions, both treatment and prevention.  Just prior to joining Catholic Charities, she spent several years in Care Coordination with a Local Management Agency.  She is active in her church community, and enjoys walking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren!

Kitti Hardison – Program Director

Kitti has over 20 years of dedicated service with local nonprofits, serving as the Community Relations Manager of United Way of Coastal Carolina. Kitti is a New Bern native, graduating from Peace College and East Carolina University. She is a devoted mother of three children. Her passion outside of work is spending time with family and friends – especially time at Harker’s Island, fishing, shelling, and walking the beach.

Susan Namowicz- Office Manager

Before coming to Catholic Charities, Sue had extensive work experience in office management, marketing, fundraising, and banking. She comes to Catholic Charities from Broad Street Christian Church in New Bern where she served as Office Manager for over four years. Outside of her work, Sue enjoys spending time with her two children, and two grandchildren. She enjoys trips to the beach and teaching Re-entry classes to adults through Craven Community College. She also plays guitar at her home parish of St. Paul’s on Saturdays.

Sheria Brown – Intake Specialist

Sheria has a Doctorate Degree in Theology, as well as a Business Degree. She is also a Certified Grief Counselor and a Nationally Accredited Forensic Interviewer. In the past, Sheria has served as a Lead Chaplain, assisting families cope with terminally ill loved ones, grief and/or transitioning of life. She has also worked assisting clients with emergency assistance in housing, food, financial assistance, social services, immigration, Vocational Rehabilitation, and providing resources for clients and their therapeutic needs. Outside of work, Sheria enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, cooking, fishing, and learning how to be a travel agent/consultant. She is also a pastor, and loves serving others in the community along side her church family.
