Jeremy Ireland (Bilingual) – Regional Director


As the Regional Director, Jeremy oversees Catholic Charities’ programs and services in the Piedmont area.  These include the Durham Community Food Pantry, Joseph G. Vetter Family Enrichment Center, and Centro La Comunidad.  Jeremy was originally acquainted with Catholic Charities by serving as an AmeriCorps member at Centro La Comunidad while he was an undergraduate.  After completing a master’s degree at the University of Chicago, he returned to direct Centro La Comunidad and, later, the nine-county Piedmont region.  During his time at Catholic Charities, Jeremy has also represented the agency by serving on and chairing multiple boards and committees as an advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities.

Jonathan Morales (Bilingual)- Family Support Assistant


Jonathan joined the Centro La Comunidad team in 2021.  As an AmeriCorps member, Jonathan’s primary role is to help people search for, apply for, and obtain jobs.  He also assists families and individuals to address their needs and connect them with other agencies and resources.  Jonathan is a college student pursuing a degree in business administration and marketing.

Cecilia Hernandez (Bilingual)- Immigration Assistant


Cecilia graduated from NC Central University with a Masters of Social Work and started her journey with the Durham Community Food Pantry in Fall of 2021, having previously worked at Durham’s Early Head Start. As Case Manager, Cecilia connects with families and individuals of the local community to provide them with resources and works to improve their lives through financial assistance, community collaboration and advocacy.

Elizabeth Najera – Office Manager


Elizabeth started with Catholic Charities in 2022 after many years as an Office Manager and Executive Assistant. This Burlington native has a critical role managing donation records, volunteer hours, along with office and warehouse orders. She splits her time between the Durham Community Food Pantry and Centro La Comunidad in Burlington. Elizabeth looks forward to working with and making a difference in the Piedmont community.

Stephanie Manosalvas – Family Case Manager


Stephanie comes to Centro after previously spending almost five years as the Case Manager in the Tar River Regional Office in Greenville before leaving to pursue a Master of Social Work degree at UNC-Chapel Hill. Stephanie brings with her a wealth of knowledge and an enthusiasm to apply her skills to benefit individuals in need in Alamance County. She enjoys providing goal-oriented case management and community outreach.
