Gary Skinner Appointed Catholic Charities Executive Director

The Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge has announced the appointment of Mr. Gary Skinner as executive director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh. Mr. Skinner was selected following a national search in which 19 candidates were seriously evaluated. The Catholic Charities Board of Directors unanimously recommended Mr. Skinner, who takes on the executive director role formerly held by Kathleen Walsh, who retired last year. Catholic Charities Receives $75,000 Grant from A.J. Fletcher Foundation

In December 2012, the A.J. Fletcher Foundation announced a three-year, $75,000 grant to Catholic Charities. The gift will benefit the Support Circle Program, which is an ecumenical effort coordinated by Catholic Charities and CASA, Inc., to help homeless families transition to permanent housing and improve their ability to earn more through job skills training.
