In the months leading up to the Gala, we will continue to monitor and take appropriate precautions in accordance with CDC, OSHA and North Carolina recommendations and guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Catholic Charities recognizes that the Young Adults of our Diocese are the next generation to make a lasting impact in our communities and help Catholic Charities further its mission of providing help to our brothers and sisters in need.

In celebration of the 10th Anniversary Gala, the Catholic Charities Board of Directors invites all Young Adults (ages 21-35) to join the evening at a special discounted rate of $75 per ticket.

Since its inception in 2011, the Annual Gala has raised over $1.7 million to allow Catholic Charities to serve our neighbors in need. The event was first held in the Cardinal Gibbons High School gymnasium in 2011. Over time the event outgrew this space, attracting over 400 guests a year, and was moved to other locations including the Downtown Raleigh Marriott and the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. Catholic Charities has been honored to have speakers such as former Duke Football Coach David Cutcliffe and former President and CEO of Catholic Relief Services, Dr. Carolyn Woo, share in this tremendous event.

In 2022, we will be celebrating 10 years of the community showing incredible support for the mission of Catholic Charities and we look to cross the $2 million mark in overall funds raised through our Annual Gala.

On Friday, April 23rd, the “Virtual Toast to the Catholic Charities Gala” was live streamed for all to enjoy. Since its inception in 2011, the Annual Gala has raised over $1.5 million to allow Catholic Charities to serve our neighbors in need. While unable to join in person, the newly envisioned “Virtual Toast to the Gala” allowed the community to continue supporting Catholic Charities while also celebrating the level of success and awareness the gala has brought to the agency over the past 10 years. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for Catholic Charities services has significantly increased, which made funds raised by this Gala are more critical than ever.
