An Experience.

The People of Hope Museum is bringing to life the stories of people whose lives have been touched by compassion, service, and unexpected acts of kindness.
Take a glimpse inside, then come discover these stories for yourself.
Every story offers a new perspective. Discover the people, experiences, and moments that remind us how compassion can change lives. Some stories are best experienced in person.

A Special Setting

As the People of Hope Museum travels across the country, its stop in Raleigh brings it to a place with a special connection to the history of Catholic service.
Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral sits on Raleigh’s historic Nazareth property, where the Catholic community’s commitment to serving neighbors in need took early shape through the Nazareth Orphanage in 1899. Over the years, the same land has served the community in a variety of ways, including as home to Cardinal Gibbons High School, diocesan administrative offices, and now the Cathedral. That legacy of compassionate, faith-filled service continues through Catholic Charities today, making this a particularly meaningful setting for the People of Hope Museum.
While You’re Here
Savor Food Truck
Make your Thursday visit even more enjoyable with a stop at the Savor Food Truck. Serving up delicious food with a purpose, Savor is a Catholic Charities social enterprise that helps support mobile food pantries serving neighbors in need.
Stuff the Truck
Share the Spirit of Christmas during both days of museum visits by bringing nonperishable food items for the Stuff the Truck holiday food drive. Your generosity can help bring nourishment and care to local families this Christmas season.

Two days. One unforgettable experience.
The People of Hope Museum is an initiative of Catholic Charities USA, hosted in Raleigh by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh. The museum was made possible through a generous grant from by Foundation.
