The reality is stark. Here in North Carolina, one in four children and one in twelve seniors face food insecurity. Families are stretching every dollar, seniors are making heartbreaking choices between food and medicine, and more neighbors are turning to us for help each week.
In the fight against food insecurity, the Tar River Regional Office assisted over 2,700 families, impacting the lives of over 10,000 individuals. And with a focus on the distribution of healthy food, we don’t just deliver calories, we offer fruits, vegetables, dairy, and protein to nourish bodies and bring families together around the dinner table.
But each week, those shelves are being depleted faster. Each month, more neighbors are reaching out. That is why we need your support ensure: No child goes to bed hungry. No senior has to choose between groceries and medicine. No family faces tomorrow without hope.
Join us at Oktoberfest as we come together as a community for beer, brats, and bingo all for the benefit of the Catholic Charities Food Pantry program.
