Regular Part-Time (20 hours/week)
Location: Burlington, North Carolina
Job Description: The Immigration Assistant is primarily responsible for providing general support to the DOJ Accredited Representatives through a variety of tasks and activities. The position will assist with the preparation of documents and applications and engage in frequent customer/client contact. They must project a professional image on behalf of the agency through in-person and phone interactions.
The position will primarily work from the Catholic Charities office in Burlington, but will be expected to travel to the Catholic Charities Durham office as needed to assist with cases.
Required Qualifications: Associates degree in human relations with 1-3 years of experience; fluent in Spanish & English oral and written communications required; demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide diversity of people from different ethnic backgrounds; excellent speaking and active listening skills; strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and work under pressure; proven computer skills including Word, Excel, and other appropriate applications; knowledge of and commitment to Catholic social teachings and practices and the mission of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh; authorized to work in the U.S.; valid NC Driver’s License and a vehicle in working order for business use.
