Dear Friends,

I am writing to share with you an update regarding our work in serving the community during this Coronavirus outbreak. We care deeply about ensuring a safe environment for our staff, volunteers, and the families we serve. We also realize the critical role of our programs for our neighbors in need, including our food pantries which help families put meals on their table.

We are balancing these two objectives by implementing increased steps to maintain clean work environments. Some examples include having employees, whenever possible, work remotely or on alternating schedules; delivering groceries directly to families in their car, limiting person to person contact in our offices; and postponing group programming until it is safe to resume classes. We are also increasing the frequency with which facilities are cleaned.

We will continue to provide our much needed services to the community as long as we are able to do so in an environment which is safe for our staff, volunteers and families. A list of program changes already being implemented can be found on our website. We will share future updates through our website and social media pages.

We are aware of the additional hardships this outbreak is causing for many families and the extended time it will take for some to recover. We are in the process of determining how we can address this increased need in the coming weeks. We already know that we will need the help of our community to meet this increased demand and will share more information about how you can help in the future.

We ask that you pray for the health of the afflicted and those who care for them.

Sincerely,
Lisa Perkins
Executive Director
