Upcoming Workshops
Saturday, April 6, 2013, 10:00 a.m.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Newton Grove
Pre-registration required, by calling Catholic Charities – 910-424-2020
These Stage 1 Preparation Workshops will be provided by a Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) accredited representative to help applicants assess their eligibility and to prepare to gather necessary documents and complete the deferred action and work authorization application forms. Applicants are encouraged to bring all of their available documents in order to have them reviewed. A later Stage 2 Completion Workshop with an immigration attorney will be announced at these workshops. “Deferred Action” refers to the June 15th Department of Homeland Security proclamation that makes it possible for certain persons between the ages of 15-31, who were brought to the United States by their parents without documentation, to file for a two-year authorization to stay in the U.S. for work or for educational opportunities.
