Catholic Charities Needs Furniture to Assist Orange County Flood Victims
On June 30 dozens of families were affected by the floods in Chapel Hill. Over 40 families lost everything in the floods. Many if not all of these families are low income folks who were already living in poverty or on the edge of it and don’t have any insurance to cover their losses.
Catholic Charities offices in the Piedmont and Raleigh Deaneries are partnering with the Red Cross, the Green Chair Project in Raleigh and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill to do a furniture drive to help these families recover.
